Based on the work of Josephine Caruso, a beloved piano teacher and concert pianist, “Rubato”, by Noah Parnes, directed by Mia Fowler, imagines a conversation between an exacting piano teacher and the father of one of her students when his son wants to quit lessons. Do we demand that young children continue to study their instruments, which will likely yield many benefits in the long run, or do we allow them to make their own choices? Miranda played a character based on Ms. Caruso in this juried festival of original short plays.

INTO SILENCE tells the story of Bobbie, an esteemed fashion editor struggling with memory loss as she prepares for a gala assisted by her husband and daughter. Directed by Erin Segal, the film also features Carl Palmer, Maggie McCaffery, and Jamie Lynn Coffey.

Miranda played Dexter star Molly Elizabeth Brown’s alcoholic mother in this short film directed by Zane Bhansali.

Miranda played Laura Rockefeller’s gossipy friend in the upcoming gilded age murder mystery series THE ARTIST starring Mandy Patinkin, Janet McTeer, and Danny Huston, and directed by Aram Rappaport.

Miranda played the leading role in Today I’m In Heaven Again by Kara Gordon, a special engagement reading as part of the Dream Up Festival at Theater for the New City. Miranda played a dead woman who gives a surreal confessional that devolves into a retelling of the myth of Van Gogh.

Tiger Tiger, directed by Cyrus Duff, will be screened as part of the Rooftop Film Festival in Brooklyn, NY - Trapped:Mind Altering Shorts.

Miranda is performing in The One Who, a site-specific ritual and performance at the The Sanctuary Environmental Retreat and Land Trust in East Haddam, CT.

Miranda wrapped filming the lead role in Liyi Li’s May I Stay, a short about a podcast host who spends the night with a much younger man as she comes to terms with her life choices in the face of her retirement.

HERE was screened at Pulpits, Protest, & Power, the 2023 March on Washington Film Festival, where it won special mention in the Emerging Narratives category. HERE was also selected for the 2022 Toronto International Black Film Festival and the 2022 Pan African Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best Narrative Short Flm. Miranda plays a teacher with toxic practices in the classroom in this film about reclaiming the power of your own name and culture.

Grammy nominated singer, writer, and advocate Wayna debuted her music video “I Won't Answer,” based on her original theme song for the film HERE. Clips from the film featuring Miranda as a toxic teacher are woven into the video.

The One Who is a devised work in process created by company members of ARTFARM in Middletown, CT. The One Who explores the concept of compassion, and is intended to be presented at The Sanctuary Environmental Retreat and Land Trust in East Haddam, CT.

Tiger Tiger, starring Sydney Lemmon and directed by Cyrus Duff was screened at the Tribeca Film Center followed by a panel discussion with Duff, co-writer Jacob Potash, and journalist/fashion icon Amy Fine Collins. Miranda plays a PR rep for a musician.

In Moonshiners, an original play by Columbia playwriting MFA candidate Lillian Mottern, Miranda played the landlord of an apartment building in Los Angeles during fire season in this workshop production.

Starring Chase Sui Wonders and Sydney Lemmon, The Philosophy of Dress feature film proof-of-concept shoot featured Miranda and journalist/fashion icon Amy Fine Collins as editors of a fashion magazine start-up.

Married to the Bag, written and directed by Zane Bhansali, was screened at the Wisconsin Film Festival, Door County Film Festival, Nyack Film Festival, and Columbia Film Festival in Maryland. Miranda plays a woman whose husband has recently left her for someone else.

Miranda completed filming on Two Headed Animals, written and directed by Jono Crefeld,. She played the concerned mother of an adventurous and self-destructive teen.

Miranda starred in Arizona, by Juan Carlos Rubio Cruz, a play about a woman who slowly comes to terms with the reality of her husband’s obsession as a vigilante stationed near the Arizona border. The production, directed by Dorea Slagle and co-starring Emerson Buchholz, was staged and filmed during the Covid pandemic at Brooklyn’s historic Harry Warren Theater.
